Get Golfing, a charity with a purpose to improve lives through golf, a mission to make its courses and clubhouses accessible to all, and a vision for its sites to be central to the communities it serves, is seeking an experienced Group Chef Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a thriving and dynamic organisation which manages and operates 13sites with 7,000 members and over 160,000 visitors each year. The successful candidate will be part of a £20m revenue company of 600 people which reinvests profits from its operations into its venues, courses, the development of its people, and importantly, community oriented charitable initiatives local to its sites.
Get Golfing's sites are far more than clubhouses and courses, with versatile event spaces that can accommodate up to 300 guests, ideal for hosting a variety of events and functions i.e. weddings, conferences, banquets, business meetings, social gatherings, and casual dining F&B.
To support their goals and drive revenue growth, Get Golfing are now seeking a Group Chef Manager to support the organisations goals and drive both revenue growth and standards by working in collaboration with site Head Chefs and General Managers across the Get Golfing portfolio.
The Role
As Group Chef Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations across multiple sites within the group. This role will require strategic leadership, ensuring consistent food quality, advising Head Chefs, adhering to health and safety standards, and maintaining cost efficiency across all locations. In addition, the Group Chef Manager will work closely with senior management to develop menus, optimize kitchen workflows, and uphold the highest standards of food production.
As well as having an excellent presentation, organisational and communication skills, you will be able to demonstrate a real passion for food & service and possess bags of enthusiasm. You will foster a positive working environment by demonstrating leadership qualities, effective communication, and teamwork.
Qualifications
* Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institute.
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices including the ability to audit
* At least 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role
* At least 2 years' experience in managing large teams and providing leadership and mentorship
* Proven experience in managing multiple kitchens or sites is highly desirable.
* Experience in procurement, supplier relations, menu development and cost control.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a dynamic business environment.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and locations.
* Excellent culinary skills with a passion for delivering high-quality food.
* Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
