Role Overview: The Site-Based Civil Engineer will play a key role in the successful delivery of projects, ensuring technical compliance, quality assurance, and adherence to project timelines. This position requires a hands-on, proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day site engineering activities, including setting out, surveying, and supervising works. Interpret and implement technical drawings, specifications, and construction plans. Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure seamless project delivery. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and company procedures. Monitor and report on progress, quality, and adherence to project specifications. Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues as they arise. Prepare as-built drawings, documentation, and progress reports. Support the procurement of materials and equipment in line with project requirements. Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and satisfaction. Requirements: Essential: Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Proven experience in a site engineering role within the civil engineering or construction sector. Proficient in using surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, and laser levels. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and specifications. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Full UK driving license. Desirable: Membership or working towards membership with a professional body such as ICE or CIHT.
