As part of this growth, we are now actively seeking an experienced multiskilled Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis. On offer to the successful applicant is a negotiable, albeit based on relevant experience basic salary, together with a full benefits package.
As their Maintenance Technician you will support the operations team in the delivery of maintenance and facility improvement tasks on a day-to-day basis as well as in long term facility issue resolution. The facilities will cover electrode manufacturing, cell assembly through to module and pack assembly, and any reasonable request. Key tasks will be on making improvements to the equipment and resolving long term facility problems.
Your duties and responsibilities will be:
The role of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician will be to support production and improvement activities in this fast-moving and changing manufacturing facility.
Highlight /report any health & safety issue as priority.
Assist in all area breakdowns and pass on knowledge to other team members.
To assist other departments with project works /installations / improvements etc.
To be part of the team in resolving mid - long term improvement activities to maintain and improve plant and facility performance.
To provide direction to team to meet equipment OPR and quality objectives. Improving existing facilities once installed incorporating new methods and processes.
Train/Mentor apprentices with other team members, ensuring high standards are adhered to.
Ability to manage several complex maintenance work streams and projects with critical path interdependencies.
Fault finding and diagnosis across a variety of manufacturing processes and facilities including multiple control systems.
Lead and support problem solving activities for manufacturing facilities and process equipment.
Planning and undertaking Technical TPM and PM maintenance activities, allocated to the department.
Lead and implement continuous improvements of equipment and processes.
Have the knowledge and physical ability to work in a clean and dry room environment, ensuring clean/dry room PPE compliance.
Liaising with operations team to prioritise tasks and working through these as required.
Ensure CMMS “tickets /reports” are filled out fully on work carried out.You will have the following qualifications & experience:
You will have ideally served an Indentured Apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical or Engineering and/or be qualified to ONC/HNC/HND Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical or Engineering, but plenty of relevant experience will also be considered.
You should be an experienced Maintenance Technician with ideally skills in Automation, PLC and Robot Applications.
You should have high level of technical, mechanical and automation engineering skills in an engineering or process operational facility.
A technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and control systems for planning and troubleshooting is required.
The ability to work as part of a team is essential, as is the ability to achieve results by meeting deliverables / commitments.
A good understanding of lean principles, TPM and kaizen processes is needed.
Good verbal communication skills, including active listening and the ability to understand complex technical information including technical drawings.
Experience of maintenance in high speed/precision environment.
Organisational skills for scheduling maintenance tasks and ensuring job completion.
Good understanding of regulatory requirements related to plant and equipmentIt’s great if you also have the following:
Any experience of working in the Battery sector would be useful, but this is not essential.This position is available with immediate effect.
