We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Interim Financial Controller to a small business for a temporary period of 3-6 months. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the business, ensuring financial controls are robust, and providing monthly management information.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, supported by 2 accounts assistants.
2. Prepare accurate monthly financial reports.
3. Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
4. Manage cash flow and flagging any issues to management
5. Monthly payroll
Key Requirements:
6. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is desirable but consideration will be given to applicants with commensurate experience.
7. Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar role, ideally in an interim or contract capacity.
8. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
10. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
11. Proficient in financial systems (Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
Applicants must be able to start at short notice and will be willing to work on site 5 days per week.
