Regulatory Governance Senior Manager – Salary circa £70,000

A bit about the job:
The team will own, maintain, and deliver continuous enhancement to the UKGI (UK General Insurance) communications frameworks and supporting tools, along with the design and delivery of assurance to monitor framework adherence, robust insightful reporting, and analysis of key outcomes to senior committees and forums. This innovative team will drive the identification of opportunities for automation and AI in the delivery of good customer outcomes, assurance approaches, reporting, and analysis.
As part of the Risk & Governance team, this role is focused on working with the business to embed and enhance the business processes, guidance, tools, and methodologies underpinning these frameworks, supporting the UKGI business to ensure stakeholder awareness and understanding of their accountabilities and responsibilities through training, coaching, and oversight reporting.
The role includes direct leadership of the framework team, and guidance of a virtual team across the UKGI business to ensure our communications deliver good outcomes for our customers. This will be achieved by providing efficient, effective, and insightful processes, tools, and reporting to ensure we know where we are getting it right and can target the things we need to improve. In addition, the team will provide risk-focused assurance against framework adherence, targeted to rapidly identify enhancement areas and support remediation.
Most importantly you will advocate for our customers and represent our regulator’s perspective. You will be protecting our customers and our business.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Expertise in risk, control, and assurance methodology and its operation within the Financial Services Industry. Understanding of Consumer Duty regulatory requirements and customer communications.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, in particular effective communication and influencing – being able to translate conceptual thinking and insight into reporting and committee papers, delivering refined written and verbal communications to senior stakeholders.
* Advanced planning, prioritising, and organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, learning quickly. A proven history of problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to articulate solutions in a business context.
* Strong analytical skills and a critical thinker – using data to build reporting, interpret the output, identify trends, and demonstrate how we ensure good outcomes for our customers.
* Experience of leading people including virtual teams across business areas and reporting lines.

* Salary circa £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
