TXM Recruit are seeking a highly motivated and talented Electrical Design Engineer to join our clients dynamic Electrical Engineering team. If you are passionate about electrical design and are eager to work on innovative projects, this is an excellent opportunity for you to grow your career.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and test electrical control systems and hardware.
* Contribute to the creation of wiring harnesses, schematic designs, and control systems.
* Work with Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Power Electronics and traction battery systems.
* Collaborate on projects related to chassis powertrain and driveline systems.
* Perform system diagnostics and testing to ensure system reliability and performance.
* Work with electrical design software, including 2D CAD tools, to generate detailed designs and schematics.
* Produce parts listings, BOMs, and maintain accurate records in line with engineering standards.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Education: HND/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent).
* Experience:
o Proven experience in a relevant engineering environment.
o Experience in commissioning and testing electrical control systems.
* Specialist Knowledge and Skills:
o Strong problem-solving abilities.
o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
o Proficient computer skills, with experience in dedicated electrical design software (e.g., 2D CAD).
o Knowledge of electrical control systems hardware design and vehicle control system diagnostic tools.
o Familiarity with coding/classification systems, parts listings, and BOMs.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
* Education: BEng or MEng degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience:
o Knowledge of wiring harness design and manufacture.
o Experience with electric and hybrid vehicle power electronics, control systems, and traction battery systems.
