About the role
As a Senior Digital Analyst in the ICT Enterprise Systems Team, you will lead on implementation and strategies for the continuous improvement of the council’s business critical systems.
The team maintains and develops systems and solutions to meet the needs of local people, businesses and council staff. This includes technology and systems which serve some of our most vulnerable residents.

We are looking to fill a Senior Digital Analyst position primarily supporting the HR & payroll system, but will also develop other processes and systems in line with the roadmap across other ICT product teams.
Your key responsibilities may include some of the following:
* Support, maintain and develop iTrent and Talentlink. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary product team to improve and integrate technology and other systems in a secure and robust manner.
* Support users to get full value from our digital tools, helping them find the simplest, most secure way of achieving their goals. Ensure systems and services are functional, operational, secure and provide good customer journeys.
* Reporting requirements – manage and coordinate the collation of workforce information and analysis, production of reports, datasets and dashboards using a wide range of data.
* Liaise with internal teams (e.g. Google support team for SSO deployment) or with external software vendors about the development of system enhancements to overcome known problems or fulfil new user requirements.
* Develop and improve internal processes between the HR and other systems that have touch points in order to streamline the starters and leavers process.
* Champion the adoption of best practice and methodologies within the organisation.
* Build relationships with key stakeholders to establish best practices in service delivery.
* Manage and mentor colleagues, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
About you
We don’t expect you to tick every box on our job description. The most important things we are looking for are:
* Essential – minimum of 5 years experience supporting, configuring and significantly developing iTrent processes and application software.
* Essential – minimum of 5 years of experience using various tools including business objects to produce reports fulfilling workforce reporting requirements to inform analysis, decision making and statutory reporting.
* Expertise in systems support or administration, maintaining, developing and reporting of other large ERP systems.
* Understanding of application lifecycle and product life cycle.
* Third party vendor management of applications that are externally hosted.
* Knowledge of ITSM framework (user management, service and change management).
* Working in an Agile way, applying an agile mindset to all aspects of delivering service.
* Excellent communication skills – you will be supporting council staff as well as liaising with senior stakeholders / system owners and external suppliers.
* Organised – you may be responsible for multiple applications serving our residents’ needs or internal users with complex business requirements.
* Prioritisation skills – you will be supporting thousands of internal users and prioritising needs with resource management.
* Sincerity and integrity – you can demonstrate that you work with honesty, trust and a ‘one’ organisation approach.
* Experience of positive and effective teamwork – line managing and mentoring colleagues.
Our priorities
Over the next year the team’s priority areas of focus will be:
* Develop and maintain our business critical applications whilst implementing user-centred improvements.
* Integrating the HR system with other systems (i.e. Google platform) to streamline and create a more effective starters and leavers process for the council.
* Working with our third party hosted vendors to plan the process of moving the applications to cloud based technologies.
* Supporting services to deliver their business plans.

Where we work
We offer hybrid working. You will be expected to come into our offices in the Hackney Service Centre to work with your team for a minimum of two days a month; however, many of us prefer to come in more frequently. Like many organisations, our hybrid arrangements are evolving and you may be expected to work from the office more frequently in future.
