About the role The role of the night foreman is to supervise all night engineering staff to facilitate vehicle maintenance and servicing requirements in accordance with group standard operating procedures (SOPs). Reporting to the workshop manager, the night foreman will be responsible for, but also not limited to: carrying out nightly team briefings to discuss the previous nights performance, any problems encountered, potential solutions and current night work schedule. maximise staff productivity through effective planning and workshop management. process works orders and requisitions control vehicle cleaning, fuelling, oil checks and parking, as well as process vehicle defect cards. carry out vehicle quality audits on work completed in line with central engineering stadard operating procedures (SOPs). ensure vehicles comply with all statutory regulations Conduct monthly health & safety toolbox talks. take a flexible approach in assisting other depots in the Leeds region when required. Working shifts: Sunday to Thursday, 22:00 - 06:00 Salary: £44,000 About you You must have a suitable engineering qualification - NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, of HND) Proven or demonstrable supervisory experience in a transport related industry You must have a valid UK drivers licence. a PCV licence is advantageous, not essential, but you must be willing to obtain one as First Bus provides assistance with this.
