Job Title: Graduate Applications Engineer

Our client, based in Abingdon and working in the semiconductor industry, is looking for a Graduate Applications Engineer to join their expanding team. In this role, the Applications Engineer will be involved in a variety of tasks, from supporting the Marketing team with sample testing and data analysis to directly assisting customers with technical support and product demonstrations. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in the semiconductor industry, where you'll use your problem-solving skills and work autonomously to contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with the Marketing team to help develop the business by running samples, presenting data, writing reports, giving presentations at conferences, and other activities.
* Help customers with collecting data and developing methods, learning about their applications and sharing this knowledge with the team.
* Present the product and its results to customers in a clear and professional way.
* Be the main contact for customers regarding application-related questions and support.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Master's degree in physical sciences, Engineering discipline, or equivalent.
* Capability to communicate complex scientific information.
* Capability to work in multi-functional teams, communicating ideas, and solving problems.
* Ability to travel globally.
* Sales support experience, ideally working with analytical instrumentation.
* Experience in communicating and supporting customers.
* Experience in managing characterisation and demonstration activities for metrology equipment suppliers.
