The VP, Client Group Learning & Development - EMEA will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning and development programs for the Client Group across the EMEA region. This group includes Sales, Marketing, Product Strategy, RFP, and Business Development teams. The role will focus on onboarding programs, ongoing education, leadership development, and customized training initiatives tailored to meet the evolving local needs of the region. Additionally, the role will collaborate with learning and development peers in other regions on global and multi-regional initiatives and help lead culture-building and morale-enhancing initiatives (e.g., Days of Service, Employee survey reviews, ERGs). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Learning & Development, with knowledge of the sales and marketing functions, particularly within the asset management industry. They will possess a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach, capable of driving impactful programs that enhance the performance and development of the Client Group. Key Responsibilities: Program Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of learning and development programs for the Client Group across the EMEA region, including Sales, Marketing, Product Strategy, RFP, and Business Development. Own the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and engaging transition for new hires. Design and manage ongoing education initiatives to enhance the skills and knowledge of existing employees. Lead leadership development programs to identify and cultivate emerging talent within the region. Partner with senior leadership and stakeholders to assess the region’s specific L&D needs and create tailored learning solutions. Ensure alignment of EMEA L&D strategies with global business objectives and Client Group priorities. Work closely with universities to drive recruitment strategy as well as develop and retain diverse talent including Investment 20/20 and rotational programs. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with leaders across the Sales, Marketing, Product Strategy, RFP, and Business Development teams to ensure L&D programs are aligned with functional goals. Build strong partnerships with regional and global HR, talent management, and leadership teams to ensure consistency and quality of programs. Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and senior stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for learning strategies that enhance business performance. Collaborate with learning and development peers in other regions on global and multi-regional initiatives. Content Development & Delivery: Develop and curate high-quality, engaging training content that meets the specific needs of the EMEA Client Group. Utilize a variety of learning methodologies, including digital learning, in-person workshops, and blended learning approaches, to deliver impactful education. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in L&D, ensuring programs are innovative and future focused. Performance Measurement & Optimization: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of L&D programs. Continuously assess and optimize programs based on feedback, engagement levels, and business impact. Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on program performance and ROI. Culture Building & Morale Enhancement: Help lead culture-building and morale-enhancing initiatives such as Days of Service, AB Voice employee engagement survey result reviews, recognition program, and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). Job Qualifications & Key Attributes Proven experience in Learning & Development, with a focus on program design, execution, and management. Strong understanding of the sales and marketing functions, with familiarity in the asset management or financial services industry highly preferred. Experience working in a complex, matrixed organization, ideally with regional or global responsibilities. Demonstrated success in delivering impactful onboarding programs, ongoing education, and leadership development initiatives. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive change. Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-oriented approach to problem-solving. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with digital learning tools and platforms is a plus.
