Job Vacancy : Experienced Brewer/Senior Brewer Location : Harlow, Essex Hours : 8-4pm Mon-Fri with occasional weekend work (approx. 3 hrs, 1/month). Some flexibility on start times is required as we also have 6-2pm and 10-6pm shifts during busy periods. Salary : 33k inc weekend work allowance Redchurch Brewery was acquired by Laine Pub Co in 2023 and produces a range of craft beers for Laines vibrant pub estate and the independent free trade. We are looking for an experienced and passionate brewer who can hit the ground running and help us deliver our production targets for 2025. The role will cover all aspects of wort production, cellaring tasks along with fermentation and quality control checks, administrative tasks and stocktaking. Working in a small brewing team, the candidate will also be a point of reference on technical brewing matters and deputise for the Head Brewer when the Head Brewer is not available. The ideal candidate will have worked previously in a fast-paced craft brewing environment, ideally producing 10k hL annually. Experience : IBD General Certificate or equivalent and 2 years experience highly desirable. Applicants with 3 years without a GCB will be considered but must be willing to complete IBD GCB training Forklift licence : Desirable but training can be provided Must have eligibility to work in UK Role Specific Responsibilities: You will be responsible for executing all aspects of production from wort production to final package Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of all steps of the production process and cellaring, including good knowledge of brewing equipment and techniques Be able to function effectively as part of a small brewing team Demonstrate a positive and committed attitude Duties include (but not limited to): Wort production mashing in, boiling, chilling and transfer to FV Daily QC checks e.g. gravities, pH checks, tank temperature Vessel and brewhouse CIPs Yeast counts and yeast cropping Dry hopping Cellaring operations e.g. fining, gas checks and carbonations Ensure accurate record keeping, including updating and improving Breww Provide consistent and accurate updates to the Head Brewer regarding all areas of work Be a technical point of reference and/or lead the team in the absence of the Head Brewer Perform laboratory checks and calculations Assist with brewery admin functions e.g. updating spreadsheets, stock counts etc Maintain strict hygiene standards at all times Contribute towards R&D/NPD challenges or new beer goals as part of the brew team Occasionally fill in for package team (annual leave cover) Job Type: Full-time Pay: £33,000.00 per year Benefits: Flexitime Schedule: Monday to Friday Weekend availability Work Location: In person AMRT1_UKCT
