The job involves the work outlined below, which may be updated in consultation with the post holder to meet changing circumstances. The date of the current job description is June 2024.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
The appointment is subject to the Conditions of Service for Business Support Staff.
All successful applicants will undergo checks including:
* Enhanced DBS
* 2 x References, one from your current or most recent employer
* Qualification validation check
SALARY
The salary range is from £23,194 to £25,340 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience. Salary increases occur annually after passing probation.
HOURS OF WORK
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
ANNUAL LEAVE
25 days plus 8 public holidays and 5 discretionary days. After 2 years, entitlement increases to 30 days. Leave of more than 3 consecutive weeks requires director approval.
PENSION SCHEME
Occupational pension scheme: Local Government Pension Scheme.
PROBATIONARY PERIOD
9 months, with mandatory induction and mandatory training courses including Equality & Diversity, Safeguarding, GDPR, Cyber Security, and Health & Safety. Failure to complete these will affect probation success.
FIRST AID & FIRE MARSHALL
Responsibilities include undertaking first aid and fire marshal duties when required, with training up to date.
REFERENCES
Two satisfactory references required.
LOCATION
The role is based in Worcester, with potential work at other locations.
QUALIFICATION VALIDATION
The College will verify qualifications with educational institutions for essential qualifications.
CONTRACTUAL REQUIREMENT TO OBTAIN A QUALIFICATION
If required, funding for additional qualifications is not guaranteed; student loans are available.
MATHS AND ENGLISH
Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths required; if not possessed, must be obtained during employment.
SAFEGUARDING
The College commits to safeguarding; all staff will undertake safeguarding training during probation.
ONLINE CHECKS
Applicants shortlisted and successful in recruitment will undergo online checks prior to employment, with consent obtained at application.
DISCLOSURE & BARRING CHECK
Successful applicants must undergo DBS checks, with costs deducted from salary. The College adheres to DBS policies.

TRAINING
