This is an exciting, newly created Finance Manager role, working for a forward-thinking, well-known brand with offices based on the outskirts of Leeds City Centre.
The business has experienced year-on-year growth since 2017, and as a result, has significantly increased headcount across all areas of the business. This new hire will form an integral stage of their continued growth in finance and will offer the successful candidate a commercially focused, hands-on Finance Manager role within an established team.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role will be responsible for directly managing the finance team, along with the following key duties:
1. Managing and overseeing the team to ensure that tasks are completed accurately and in line with the month-end timetable.
2. Continuous improvement and development of the team, supporting and mentoring.
3. Continuous development of internal controls and processes.
4. Preparing the management accounts in line with set deadlines.
5. Reviewing the month-end spend analysis and accruals and prepayments.
6. Balance Sheet and Control Account reconciliations and review.
7. Approving payments and reviewing and managing cashflow.
8. Overseeing and managing the annual audit process and preparing the statutory accounts.
9. Preparation and review of other key financial reports as required.
The successful candidate will:
1. Be ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified, with a minimum of 3 years experience within a relevant role - Essential.
2. Have previous experience of managing/supervising a team - Essential.
3. Have a strong knowledge of MS Excel - Essential.
4. Be commercially focused with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders - Essential.
