This is the job Job Title Finance Assitant (Accounts Payable Focus) Location: Basingstoke (Hybrid 2-3 days in office) Salary: £26,500 - £27,500 We are seeking a multiskilled Finance Assistant to join our Accounts Payable team within the DriveTech function. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our finance processes. Key Responsibilities Accurately process purchase invoices on NAV, ensuring correct PO matching. Ensure timely payment of purchase invoices (42 days standard). Address billing queries related to invoices, POs, and payments. Raise and reconcile weekly trainer and venue self-billing invoices. Create new customers, items, and dimensions in NAV within agreed timescales. Conduct credit checks on potential customers. Maintain up-to-date customer records. Assist with cash allocation of customer receipts. Process manual trainer and international employee expenses with proper approvals. Handle customer and delegate refunds within agreed timescales. Perform checks for duplicate payments and process refunds as needed. Accurately process daily banking entries and reconcile bank accounts monthly. Maintain Accounts Payable and AccountsDT mailboxes within a 5-day SLA. Complete month-end tasks and assist with year-end and interim audits. Generate customer backing data at month-end. Continuously improve processes and automate reporting. Provide annual leave cover for the finance team, including weekly payment runs. Undertake ad hoc reports, projects, or analysis as required. Support wider FSS functions and teams on demand. Ensure compliance with the Company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies. Conduct Rules Act with integrity and due care. Be open and cooperative with regulators. Treat customers fairly and observe proper market conduct. About You Proficient in desktop skills and accounting principles. Strong data-gathering and analysis abilities. Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Dynamics Navision. Highly numerate with excellent communication and report-writing skills. Business awareness and teamwork skills, with the ability to self-manage. Initiative to find solutions and improve processes. Accurate, thorough, and reliable. Self-motivated, organized, and methodical. Great interpersonal skills, enthusiastic, and ambitious. Able to meet tight deadlines and prioritize conflicting requirements.
