Are you looking to join a friendly, dynamic team that plays a vital role in supporting medical and dental training and education across the Southwest? We are seeking a Faculty Development and Learner Support (FDLS) Coordinator with demonstrable organizational and communication skills to provide a wide range of administrative support. While this role primarily serves the Faculty and Learner Support team, it may also involve collaboration with the broader medical and dental workforce teams as needed. You will also need to be able to liaise with a range of diverse people at different levels as required.
Main duties of the job
The FDLS Coordinator will support a variety of administrative tasks across the FDLS team, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
As an integral team member, the FDLS Coordinator will help support the efficient delivery of multiple programs, including Professional Support and Well-being (PSW), Study Leave, SuppoRRT, Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), and Faculty Development for resident doctors, as well as Specialty and Associate Specialist (SAS) and Locally Employed Doctors. This role may contribute to financial reporting processes across these portfolios.
Key responsibilities include:
Support data accuracy assisting with processing, inputting and monitoring expenditure.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with attentive listening abilities.
Competent IT skills, particularly in Excel, Outlook, and website updates.
Event planning and support.
Proven organizational and planning skills.
Knowledge of governance and risk management.
Ability to prioritize tasks and support deadlines.
Capable of working independently and within a team.
Strong multi-tasking abilities.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

6. HNC/A Level/ NVQ4 or other diploma or equivalent level of knowledge.
