Site manager Location - Enfield Rate - Competitive Duration - 6 to 8 months rolling contract My client is a Tier 1 contractor, who is currently looking for a Site manager with rail/civils background. Project: The STIC (Surface Transport Infrastructure Construction) framework is a six-year contract from Transport for London (TfL) that aims to deliver a variety of surface transport capital projects. It covers areas like road construction, bridge upgrades, tunnel maintenance, and river infrastructure. The framework also supports TfL's programs focused on walking and cycling schemes, Vision Zero initiatives, asset renewals, and transformational schemes. Here's a more detailed look: Purpose: The STIC framework provides a primary delivery route for TfL's surface transport capital projects. It's designed to deliver medium and high complexity capital projects on the TfL Road Network (TfLRN), London Borough roads, and non-road locations. The framework aims to improve safety, reduce congestion, and ensure infrastructure assets are well-maintained. Responsibilities and requirements: - Manage and supervise all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. - Lead site teams, including subcontractors and direct staff, to achieve project milestones. - Monitor project progress, ensuring work is completed on schedule and to specification. - Liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and problem-solving. - Implement and maintain quality control procedures to meet industry standards. - Manage site logistics, materials, and resources efficiently. - Ensure accurate reporting, including daily progress reports, site documentation, and cost tracking. - Proactively identify and mitigate risks to the project's success. Requirements: - Proven experience as a Site Manager in civil engineering or construction projects. - Strong knowledge of groundworks, infrastructure, drainage, and structural works. - Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification. - CSCS card and First Aid at Work certification. - Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to interpret technical drawings and project plans - Full UK driving license.
