We have partnered with a well-known main contractor who have been successfully delivering projects for over 20 years. Having originally been set up as a commercial office fit out business, the company has evolved over time and is now made up of multiple divisions which enables them to undertake projects across multiple sectors (Office, Residential, Education, Life Sciences, Hospitality + more). Their work now also covers more than just fit out, with many projects involving major structural alterations and even complete demolition and new build.
With a headcount of over 200 people now, made up of some of the industries finest, the business has built up a reputation as one of the ‘go-to’ names for Central London works.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Project Lead to take ownership of a circa £25m heavy refurbishment project in Zone 1. Project details are listed below, so you can get an understanding on what will be involved. Our client will be looking for an individual who has previous experience delivering a project of a similar nature, and can provide references (professional team or contractor) to qualify this.
Sound commercial understanding (will have QS support) and programme management will be crucial. As is the case with any heavy refurbishment project, especially in Central London, taking a proactive approach and having the ability to adapt will be key to ensuring the project remains on programme and on budget.
Example of Project:
An existing building will be taken back to shell & core and then re-fit to CAT A standard for the commercial office space (retail areas will be left at S&C). Demolition of the existing top floor, infill of Atrium over 4 floors, construction of new ground to 1st floor opening, fitout of new landlord circulation, office amenity and major services infrastructure to service all units. 2 additional floors are to be added to provide additional lettable areas and a new rooftop with amenity space. The rear and side facades are to be replaced, with the Lower Marsh façade retained and renewed via the addition of stained brickwork, rendered bays and replacement of all existing windows. To the rear of the building, a new courtyard and extended office entrance shall be formed to create a more visible entrance for users and guests.
The Salary
In return our client is willing to offer a salary ranging anywhere from £80,000 - £100,000 + Travel Allowance & Healthcare, Pension
