Key Responsibilities: Teach PE across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging lessons that foster physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that meet the school’s high educational standards. Develop and implement extra-curricular activities, such as after-school sports clubs, that engage students in a variety of sports. Encourage teamwork, leadership, and good sportsmanship among students. Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing feedback and support where needed. Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the development of the PE curriculum. Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued. Key Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification. A strong passion for Physical Education and the benefits of physical activity. Experience teaching PE at Key Stage 3 and 4 level, ideally in a secondary school setting. Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities. Ability to work as part of a team, sharing resources and ideas with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum. Good communication skills, both with students and staff. A commitment to student welfare and personal development. Desirable: Experience of coaching or leading after-school sports teams or events. A specialism or qualification in a specific sport (e.g., football, netball, rugby, athletics, etc.) is advantageous. Strong understanding of current PE curriculum and national standards. Why Join Us?
