Technical Director, Geotechnical
Responsibilities:
* Control and management of the whole life cycle of the projects in the Geotechnical Team.
* Working within a multi-discipline team of engineers, technicians, and other professionals to develop engineering designs from concept to detailed design and specifications.
* Liaise with Clients in relation to project progress, decisions, and changes to ensure deliverables are met and produced on time and budget.
* Be a team leader to develop and grow the team with P&L responsibilities.
* Attend design meetings, site meetings, and all other project-related meetings.
* Responsible for business proposal/tendering and commercial negotiations.
* Seek business opportunities across APAC regions proactively.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree with professional qualification in Civil / Geotechnical Engineering or other related disciplines.
* Membership of HKIE (G) or other equivalent professional bodies.
* Solid experience in the management of Landslip Prevention and Mitigation Programme or similar projects is highly preferred.
* Registered Geotechnical Engineer (RGE) qualification is an advantage.
* At least 12 years’ experience post qualification in design/construction management of Geotechnical works.
* Good interpersonal and technical skills and the ability to deliver schemes to a high technical standard on time and within budget.
* Strong communication skills and confidence to liaise and develop long-term relationships with clients to ensure the commercial and technical success of projects.
* Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage.
