Job Title: Programme Manager (Infrastructure Projects)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead, coordinate, and drive the delivery of infrastructure projects within a fast-paced maintenance environment. This role will be responsible for managing the overall programme, ensuring visibility of progress, and proactively addressing slippage, risks, and issues.
You will lead a team of Project Coordinators and work collaboratively across multiple teams to ensure consistent and accurate tracking of project performance. This is a critical role requiring strong leadership, analytical insight, and hands-on project controls experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Programme Management & Leadership
Lead and drive the delivery of the programme to meet deadlines and project milestones.
Support the team in developing and maintaining short-term and stage-based programmes.
Provide visual tracking and analysis of key project activities.
Mentor and manage a team of Project Coordinators.
Collaborative Planning & Short-Term Control
Facilitate weekly collaborative planning meetings with project teams.
Gather updates on project status, changes, and progress.
Ensure the programme reflects the most up-to-date project data.
Reporting & Analysis
Weekly reporting of planned vs. actual completion, key milestones, and changes.
Monthly programme updates, including analysis of slippage, delay, float, and risks.
Provide clear and concise monthly reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
Maintain and update project trackers and reporting tools.
Forecasting & Cost Management
Work closely with the commercial team to develop spend profiles.
Integrate cost and value data into the programme for financial forecasting.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in programme management, project controls, or planning roles within infrastructure or construction.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
Proficiency in project scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
Comfortable leading meetings and facilitating collaboration.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritise effectively.
Additional Information:
The role is based at either of the two locations listed above; flexibility to travel may be required.
Hybrid work model with 3-4 days per week in the office.
