Unqualified Mental Health Assistant
EdEx are working with a fantastic Secondary School based in the Borough of Wandsworth who are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join their team.
The Unqualified Mental Health Assistant position involves providing support to children with SEN/SEMH needs, including ASD, ADHD, SpLD and more.
You will be working alongside a conscientious team of teachers, teaching assistants and support staff, as well as liaising with the SENCO in relation to students requiring additional support. This role also includes assisting class teachers with delivering material centred around the core subjects, including English, Maths and Science.
Job Description
1. Working in a highly-regarded Secondary School in Wandsworth
2. Providing support to pupils with SEN/SEMH needs
3. Working alongside class teachers
4. Leading 1:1 and small group interventions targeting pupil progress
Role Details
Based in Wandsworth
£105 - £110 per day
8.30AM - 4PM
Monday - Friday only
Long-Term, Full-Time role
Term-Time only

The Ideal Candidate
1. A graduate holding a 1st Class degree or 2:1
2. Experience working with children and SEN/SEMH needs
3. A good understanding of the current curriculum
4. A passion for working with young people
