Commercial Director
Our client has the ambition and resources to build further on its success, and to expand their market presence internationally. As part of the company’s strategic plan, a new exceptional Director is being sought to succeed their Managing Director and owner, who is looking to take a step back from the day-to-day running of the business.
This appointment will oversee the continued development and profitable growth of the company, in the UK and internationally. This appointment will help facilitate an ultimate exit for the current shareholders. The new Director will have the exciting challenge of helping to set, and start to deliver, a compelling strategic growth plan for the business, and will subsequently play a key role in helping to facilitate succession and prepare for exit. In short, this will be an extremely challenging and rewarding opportunity for the right individual.
OVERALL, PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
This key appointment will focus on the continued development and profitable growth of the company.
The role will drive new commercial opportunities for the business, particularly across existing and new target sectors internationally. The Director will help set and deliver the company’s overall strategic growth plans and ensure that all business units and departments are working in harmony and in accordance with these strategic priorities.
The Director is responsible for the inspiration and development of the management team and staff by demonstrating a command of operational efficiencies and a mastery of team member engagement.
This role is responsible for setting high standards and goals. The Director will have responsibility for maximising growth (and thereby the value of the company) to help achieve a successful exit within the short to medium term.
Essential Job Functions
* Overall responsibility for managing the P&L, and delivering successful, sustainable and profitable growth. Developing and implementing a successful international commercial strategy. Managing all department heads within the business, continually evaluating success. Overseeing the development of innovative new solutions and services.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
* Proven senior leadership experience in the successful development of premium service and solutions orientated business. Proven successful understanding, interpretation and management of P&L’s. A track record of creating and implementing successful strategic business, sales, and marketing plans.
* First class sales and marketing leadership skills. Strong experience of fully harnessing advanced social media channels and the latest digital marketing techniques to increase brand awareness amongst target clients internationally.
