Our client, an innovative and proactive company based in Aberdeen, is looking for a driven and talented Technical Writer to join their expanding Business Solutions Team.
Overview:
This role involves creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation and training materials for custom software applications, ensuring clarity and ease of use for a wide range of audiences, from end-users to technical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop user guides, technical manuals, and training materials for custom software applications.
2. Work with Subject Matter Experts and developers to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
3. Support business transitions and implement change across the organisation.
4. Analyse and improve existing documentation to ensure it's clear and comprehensive.
5. Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the user experience.
6. Maintain documentation standards, guidelines, and formats in line with best practices.
Experience and Qualifications:
1. At least 3 years experience as a Technical Writer (or equivalent) in a commercial IT environment.
2. Proven experience implementing and maintaining online documentation.
3. Proficient in Microsoft technologies, including Office 365, Power Platform, and SharePoint Online.
4. Experience with content management systems and knowledge base tools.
