Position Overview:
To be part of a small team working within a busy mixed SKU and high-volume warehouse. This is a hands-on role with the primary function of ensuring that all finished goods are available for dispatching and dispatched in full, in line with delivery requirements.
All finished goods must be located within Goods Out locations grouped by order number, in accordance with QC standards. Procedures must always be followed, including system discipline around the dispatching process (finished goods process and all system booking out procedures).
POD control and document uploads are required in line with business unit requirements. This position requires strong organizational skills, as communication and collaboration with fulfillment supervisors and operatives are essential. The goods out area is to be owned by this position, which includes responsibility for hygiene and Health & Safety.
This position also requires a strong leader who can manage yard discipline and all transport traffic within the goods out area.
Key Deliverables:
1. Work closely with the Distribution Manager and lead a small loading team.
2. Ensure that all finished goods are located within goods out locations and adhere to finished goods standards.
3. Control stock in the finished goods area and communicate any discrepancies to the Distribution Manager/fulfillment supervisors.
4. Navigate the current ERP and local business WMS, extracting data via Excel data sheets to ensure 100% OTIF is achieved.
5. Input accurate data from WMS onto courier booking portals, confirming that all items are inputted and labelled correctly prior to dispatch.
6. Oversee loading and docking processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
7. Ensure and confirm clean dispatching is completed and provide updates to the Distribution Manager.
8. Maintain a clean goods out area compliant with Health and Safety standards.
9. Attend daily transport meetings to obtain information regarding picking and loading requirements.
10. Ensure that the Goods Out team understands and implements all relevant SOPs, conducting briefings to communicate any SOP changes.
11. Control all vehicle movements within the goods out area/yard and manage all driving personnel.
12. Support site management with operational needs.
