Due to internal movement, we are now recruiting for a Master Production Scheduler. Working for the Master Production Scheduler - OE Assembly, this is an exciting opportunity to join the OE assembly Team at Safran Landing Systems Gloucester. Part of the role will be to establish and manage the short-term MPS1 plan for the shop floor and in the ERP (SAP) system.
You will be an active member of the planning team working with various departments to create an MPS1 plan to support the needs of our customer, whilst taking into consideration the limitations of the assembly shop, load and capacity analysis and part shortages.
Working with our sister site in Bidos, it will be your responsibility to manage the work share splits and parts supply between the two sites, within the short-term horizon.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Establish detailed Assembly / Pulse line Plan to meet the MPS over a rolling 1-2 month period. To be published on a regular basis.
2. Reflect the schedule within SAP ERP on a weekly basis.
3. Revise when necessary to take into account unforeseen changes.
4. Attend ELOB reviews to ascertain risks to plan (optional).
5. Maintain works order scheduling in SAP (arrears, exception messages etc).
6. Maintain Production Plan Root Cause file.
7. Identify and capture weekly route causes.
8. Perform pareto analysis on a monthly basis.
9. Maintain MPS Rolling file.
10. Chair the Weekly MPS meeting.
11. Participate in and prepare Monthly Production Plan reviews.
12. Engage with Assembly Execution Planner on a daily basis.
13. Engage with Program Planner on a regular basis.
14. CatB conversion process – Weekly.
15. Become focal point for Single Aisle PPM (Assembly deliveries) & Single Aisle Assembly Mgr.
16. Support daily QRQC meetings.
17. Engage with Production Team leaders and Management.
18. Support Assembly execution team during busy periods.
19. Continuous Improvement Mindset: A commitment to driving continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of innovation within the production team.
Job Requirements
1. Good working knowledge of ERP system and MRP2 Principles in SAP.
2. Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to work as a team.
3. Ability to flex and adapt to daily and weekly changes in the supply chain.
4. Prior Planning experience in a manufacturing would be an advantage.
5. Power Bi and visual management skills.
6. Analytical skills.
7. Decision making skills.
8. Problem solving skills.
