We have a Band 5 Registered Nurse vacancy at our outstanding CQC rated Assessment and Treatment unit for adults with learning disabilities in Macclesfield.
Our Assessment and Treatment units support adults with a learning disability, autism, ADHD, and complex physical health issues. Admissions are aimed to be short-term for individuals requiring a period of intensive assessment and treatment with the development of robust transition plans to support discharge to future placements.

You will work closely alongside a range of specialist professionals across differing locations in order to achieve the best person-centred outcomes for a patient's admission and future.

The post holder will be expected to work within a multi-professional framework, being named nurse for adult service users with learning disabilities and complex needs. The post holder will work within a hierarchical structure, under the supervision of the Manager/Deputy Manager.
As a Staff Nurse, you will be required to take charge of the shift and offer management supervision sessions to the Clinical Support Workers assigned to you.
The successful candidate will be encouraged to excel within their nursing role, and we offer a number of development opportunities both internally through our education department and externally through a range of colleges and universities we are associated with.
There is also an opportunity for further training and development as part of career development; full preceptorship will be given to those who are newly qualified.
The ideal candidates must have strong and positive values, be enthusiastic, have good communication skills, and be able to build effective working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team.
As the ward is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the 11.5-hour shifts will include both days and nights (Days 07:30-20:00 and Nights 19:30-08:00).
