Job Purpose Reporting to the Goods In Team Leader, the Goods In Operative with FLT role involves the accurate and efficient handling of bread deliveries, including unloading, sorting, counting, and reporting discrepancies against Purchase Orders. Responsibilities extend to delivering stock to chilled, ambient, and freezer environments from arrival, maintaining inventory accuracy through continuous updates on the Livestock Spreadsheet, and ensuring proper storage and documentation for up to 14 deliveries per day. Required skills include experience in a warehouse environment, physical fitness for manual handling, experience of FLT and full UK driving licence and keen attention to detail for stock management. The purpose of the role is to ensure the accurate and efficient handling, transporting, storage, and documentation of stock and deliveries, maintaining inventory accuracy and upholding Company values. Bread Delivery – unloading lorry, sorting the stacks of bread, counting and reporting any variance against the Purchase Order and transporting around the site to location. Picklist (chilled & ambient) – accurate picking of ingredients, checking of best before/use by dates on the stock that is being picked and prompt reporting of any shortages. Freezer – accurate picking of stock in the freezer, transportation from unit 13 to unit 3, traying up of the stock and prompt reporting of any shortages and prompt reporting of shortages. 8-14 deliveries per day – unloading of the van/lorry, ensuring all visual and temperature checks are conducted in the correct manner, the proper completing of Purchase Orders and appropriate storing of ingredients and moving to location as required, safely and efficiently. Livestock Spreadsheet - Continuous updates throughout the day to register all incoming/outgoing stock and stock check variances to maintain a live and accurate count of all ingredients. This includes checking dates. Skills include: • Experience of working within a sortation or warehouse environment. • Exposure to working in cold environments. • Full UK driving licence and FLT before role commences is mandatory. • Lifting and unloading of items on and off vehicles – physical fitness is important. • Manual handling experience and relevant training, although will be provided. • Logical thinking and attention to detail for counting of stock and goods.
