JOB TITLE: Club Events Executive
REPORTING LINE: Club Events Manager
DEPARTMENT: Commercial & Marketing
CONTRACT: Full Time, Permanent
THE ROLE
The purpose of this role is to support the continued growth of the club’s event and experiences portfolio, and stadium tour programme which includes our brand-new museum.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To support the development and delivery of an exciting range of club events and experiences. This role will include being a key member of the team who deliver flagship club events such as our Player Awards ceremony, Burns Supper and Legends evenings and this role will also include supporting our matchday experience, particularly for our first team matches at Ibrox stadium.
2. The role will also be focused on the delivery and expansion of our stadium tour and museum experiences. This will involve creating and managing our stadium tour schedule, liaising with our group of tour guides, completing time sheets, researching new concepts to improve the range and accessibility of our offering, managing stadium tour and museum related communications to guests and managing club Legend appearances for our Legends themed tours.
3. Support the production and operational delivery of events and tours from concept through to completion and post-event analysis.
4. Management of club mascots Broxi, Roxi and Boris including their matchday operations, rotas and appearances at club events.
5. Manage the events inbox and liaise with the Rangers supporter service team when necessary.
6. A passion for developing successful and profitable events and experiences is key to this role.
7. As part of your overall duties, you will liaise with a number of club departments and teams including commercial partnerships, hospitality, digital content, marketing, membership, RangersTV, operations, Edmiston House management team and the football department.
THE CANDIDATE
The candidate attributes include:
1. Experience working in live events, particularly within a sporting organisation, is desirable.
2. Degree in Event, Tourism, Business Management or equivalent experience within a similar role.
3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
4. Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
5. A passion for developing incredible events, tours, museum and matchday experiences.
6. The ability to proactively seek new opportunities and expand on the creativity of new and already established products.
7. Eligibility to work in the UK.
Club events take place across evenings, weekends, and holiday periods so a flexible working approach is essential. Some match day work is also required.
