The Assistant Station Manager will ensure the safe and correct handling, storage and movement of the Company's aviation products. They will support the Operations Manager with resource planning at the assigned location, ensuring that into-plane refuelling is carried out in accordance with Company Operating Procedures. Responsibilities Ensure all Quality Control & Vehicle Documents are up to date. Ensure documents are completed by site personnel daily and action shortfalls appropriately (daily). Motivating and managing a team of refuellers to ensure a safe and efficient operation is delivered. Identify potential shortfalls in operational routine tasks and complete appropriately remedial action if required (daily). Complete daily stock reconciliation & complete month end (i6 and manual accounting). Develop and deliver Toolbox Talks to site personnel. Monitor and report incidents and update SSHE Tracker (monthly). Collate PSPI Data (monthly). Update and monitor inspection requirements of equipment (monthly). Monitor and record site personnel’s On Time Performance – investigate and report to Station Manager (monthly). Attend Airport Safety Meetings. Lead during internal and external inspections/audits. Maintain site shift pattern (ensuring minimum costs and meeting operational effectiveness). During Station Manager’s absence, become operational point of contact for location. Complete task observations of all site technicians and contractors and provide constructive feedback and report any noncompliance to Station Manager. Arrange visitor passes (vehicle and personnel) for WFS and external personnel requiring access to location. Ad hoc duties as assigned by UK operations Manager. Please note that this is standard role summary and there may be additional responsibilities that are specific to the assigned airport location. Requirements LGV 1 (CE) driving license is essential. The successful candidate is likely to have in excess of 3 years current LGV Class 1 driving experience gained fuel-based products. Experience of overseeing the safe handling, storage, movement of Fuel Products is essential. Experience of leading teams or providing coaching, mentoring and training support to colleagues is highly desirable. Strategic approach and viewpoint on the aviation fuel industry and the long term running of a aviation fueling operation to deliver optimal profitability in a safe and compliant manner is essential. Strong team working skills are essential but also the ability to work independently as required on assigned project work. Strong analytical skills and numerate ability are required in order to support the resource planning, budget and audit processes as required. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential. Flexible approach to work including overtime working Strong health and safety ethos and mind set is essential and health and safety work experience gained within a fuels based environment is essential. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential. Strong time management and organization skills are essential. The ability to travel to the assigned location within a 45 minute travel time is essential.
