One of our key clients working in the Automotive & EV Sector is recruiting for an Engineering Programme Manager for a 6 month contract. This may be extended depending on the projects.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing complex engineering programmes, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards and leading the team of Project Staff.

Contract: Outside IR35
Duration: 6 Months (Rolling Contract)
Rate: £450pd to £700pd (Negotiable)
Hybrid WFH: Flexible after first 3 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
* Programme Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of automotive engineering programmes from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.
* Project Management: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets. Monitor and track progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
* Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, suppliers, customers, and senior management, to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
* Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and leadership to the engineering teams, ensuring that all technical requirements are met, and best practices are followed.
* Resource Management: Coordinate and allocate resources effectively across multiple projects, ensuring optimal utilisation of personnel, tools, and technologies.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality assurance processes.
* Reporting & Documentation: Prepare regular status reports, project documentation, and presentations for stakeholders and senior management. Ensure that all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management and engineering processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Extensive Programme Management Experience: Proven track record of managing large-scale automotive engineering programmes, with a strong understanding of the automotive industry and engineering principles.
* Project Management Expertise: Proficient in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
* Technical Knowledge: Strong technical background in automotive engineering, with experience in product development, systems engineering, and manufacturing processes.
* Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, driving results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and influence at all levels.
* Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
* Education: Degree in Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. A relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
