Description | Salary £24,404 - £25,183 Per annum | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | Cultural Services | International Sponsorship – this role is not open to international sponsorship Technical Support Officer, Grade 4 Our service Cultural Services is a 'family' of services and includes a large library service (63 static libraries, 5 mobile libraries, 5 prison libraries, home library service and resources team), a museum service (6 museums, conservation studio and archaeological site), conservation service, heritage learning team, archive and local studies service, music service and music hub, outdoor education service and cultural and information development. Cultural Services comprises of circa 800 staff spread across the Lancashire County Council footprint. Your new role… This is a full-time permanent post (37 hours per week) based in Preston. Post holders will be expected to: Assist with the delivery and promotion of effective information and digital activity across Cultural Services. Provide direct communications and events support, working closely with operational staff, managers and customers; Under supervision maintain and update information in the public domain, on the intranet and on systems and databases including social media and the website Assist with smooth planning and running of events, including packing and distribution of resources Provide technical support to colleagues in Cultural Services Provide support to Support Team as and when required We are currently working with greater flexibility and have a blended approach with attendance at an office base and working from home. There will be a requirement to work regularly at County Hall in Preston and undertake packing and distribution duties, attend meetings and workshops. The post will also be required to visit Cultural Services venues at times to provide technical support in person.
