What is Churnet Sound Radio?
Churnet Sound Radio is a not-for-profit online radio station, and its brand purpose is to entertain, engage and promote the interests of local communities in the Stoke on Trent, Newcastle, Staffordshire Moorlands and Cheshire East through all platforms to enable us to expand our listeners. We broadcast via the internet, churnetsound.co.uk website, DAB, Alexa and Apps and have social media and Twitter. We broadcast local news, local weather, local events, show biz etc. One of our main aims is to combat social isolation amongst rural communities.
What will I be doing?
* Work closely with Directors to create interesting local content on our website, social media, marketing materials and other platforms.
* Ensure social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, are up to date and regularly updated.
* Engage in social media presence creation on new and emerging social media platforms.
* Create dynamic written, graphic, and video content in line with Churnet Sound Radio goals.
Skills and experience desired:
We are looking for someone who is a great communicator, enthusiastic, and has experience in writing, proofreading, and editing. You should demonstrate excellent research, organizational, and time management skills along with strong listening and communication skills. You must have the capacity to work independently and collaboratively and be able to work efficiently without compromising quality or accuracy.
