Reporting to the Team Leader in the Tooling Moulds Department, you will fulfil the necessary requirements with regards to the operational activities / requirements in the Department to meet the Company’s objectives which is the manufacturing of high-quality components.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Read and understand trim drawings.
2. Laminate Moulds as per schedule and process.
3. Cut, Trim and Block GRP Moulds (i.e., Sand/Fair edges straight, remove sharp and spiky areas on GRP).
4. Spray Paint, Paint or flow coat moulds. Must know catalyst and MEK mixing ratios.
5. Maintain quality and adhere to quality standards at all times.
6. Maintain stable production delivery.
7. Achievement of health and safety standards.
8. Ensure build cycle requirements are met.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum: NQF Level 2 (Grade 10). Qualification Internal team members: NQF level 2(Grade 10) and/or a R&C competency certificate as a Laminator.
* Experience: Any painting or Catalyst ratio mixing experience would be advantageous.
* Thorough knowledge and experience of all aspects of mixing.
* Excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
* Able to work weekends and overtime.
* Able to work with Power Tools, i.e. Small and Large Grinder and Sabre Saw.
* Have a thorough understanding of the quality condition within the company.
