About The Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for you to join the CUPRA & SEAT leadership team as the Head of PR and Communications on a permanent basis.
In this high profile role you'll be reporting directly into the Brand Director of CUPRA & SEAT UK and be wholly responsible to steer the development and implementation of a comprehensive multi-channel strategy (from traditional media to social media) for internal and external communications for SEAT and CUPRA. The aim is to effectively communicate SEAT and CUPRA's narratives, products, and ecosystem (CUPRA), enhancing reputation, increasing brand desirability, likeability, and visibility among various stakeholders including media, content creators, and the general public.
The Head of PR and Communications serves as the primary point of contact for all communication matters across all areas of the brands and serves as a counsellor for the top management.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead, develop and implement a forward-thinking internal and external communications strategy aligned with the strategic pillars of the headquarters, securing high-profile media coverage.
* Elevate SEAT and CUPRA through development and implementation of creative approaches to attract media/content creators’ attention and interest (automotive, general media and lifestyle) – whether that is through unique partnerships, creative pitching, experiential activations, tailor-made events or leaning into trends and the cultural zeitgeist in a way that is authentic to the brands.
* Oversee and approve all communications materials to ensure consistency (One Voice Policy – Clearing) in the storyline, events, social media plans and other communications activations for both internal and external communications.
* Organize high-profile events to enhance brand and product perception in the automotive sector and beyond (Lifestyle).
* Serve as a brand ambassador at events, to establish and nurture strong connections with media outlets, journalists, and content creators to foster positive media coverage and secure interviews and feature stories to enhance SEAT and CUPRA’s visibility.
* Serve as a key partner to Marketing in developing strategic media partnerships, events and activations.
* Remain informed about industry trends and beyond (Lifestyle) that may recommend proactive strategies accordingly to position the brands.
* Lead, align and manage an effective crisis communications strategy to protect the reputation of the company and its management.
* Monitor KPIs and evaluate effectiveness of communication efforts and apply learnings.
* Oversee the efficient allocation of resources, including budget, personnel and technology, to support the communication strategy effectively and achieve budget targets.

* Ability to think creatively and strategically to see the bigger picture whilst retaining attention to detail alongside managing performance and delivering results through others.
* The ability to pivot plans at short notice and overcome challenges and identify solutions in a fast-paced environment.
* High understanding of social media and the lifestyle industry.
* Strong network of media contacts, particularly in the lifestyle industry.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels.
* Skilled in creating and maintaining effective business relationships.
* Experience in leading and motivating a team and demonstrating strong leadership qualities.
* Ability to manage a budget in a constantly changing environment.
