Job Description
Lead and manage complex negotiations through planning, performing cost analysis by creating total cost of acquisition/product cost lifecycle models, drafting contracts, and creating business cases to maximize the value proposition across all major categories.
Be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining relevant integrated commodity/category supplier strategies that have a clear vision and a strategy for the designated supply chain(s), which requires understanding of the commodity landscape, associated risks, and ability to conduct long-term planning.
Strategic sourcing and procurement across multiple categories and sub-categories in complex indirects and also direct/raw material supply chains [mainly indirects], as well as site-procurement responsibilities.
Manage the identification, assessment, and mitigation of commercial risks within the supply chain to ensure continuity and resilience.
Manage & lead a team of buyer(s) to excel in their strategic tasks by fostering skill development and achieving superior outcomes for the business.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Global Category Manager should have:
* Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management within the industrial/manufacturing industry.
* A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
* Strong strategic sourcing and inventory management skills.
* Excellent supplier relationship management skills.
