We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to identify, optimize, and implement modern, measurable, and repeatable operational processes for our importing, wholesaling, and distribution business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process optimization, supply chain efficiency, cold chain logistics, and automation.
Responsibilities:
1. Process Analysis & Optimization: Assess current operational processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop streamlined, data-driven solutions.
2. Cold Chain Management: Implement modern tracking and monitoring systems for optimal temperature control and reduce product loss.
3. Supply Chain & Logistics Efficiency: Develop and improve inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, and distribution strategies using ERP & WMS systems.
4. Warehouse Optimization: Optimize storage layout, introduce FIFO/FEFO inventory management, and improve picking & packing workflows.
5. Order Fulfillment Enhancement: Implement barcode/RFID tracking systems and integrate NetSuite or other ERP systems to automate order processing.
6. Technology & Automation Integration: Leverage IoT, predictive analytics, and machine learning tools for better forecasting and real-time monitoring.
7. Quality & Inventory Control: Establish repeatable processes for monitoring inventory, minimizing spoilage, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
8. Delivery & Route Optimization: Implement advanced route planning software to improve delivery efficiency and reduce costs.
9. Vendor & Supplier Management: Automate procurement, improve vendor selection, and negotiate optimal terms with suppliers.
10. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse, procurement, logistics, and sales teams to align process improvements with business goals.
11. Training & Documentation: Develop SOPs, provide training to employees, and ensure process standardization across multiple locations.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
1. 5+ years of experience in process engineering, supply chain optimization, logistics, or warehouse operations.
2. Proven experience in process mapping, data analysis, and continuous improvement (Lean Six Sigma methodologies preferred).
3. Expertise in cold chain logistics and perishable goods handling.
4. Strong knowledge of ERP & WMS systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
5. Experience with IoT sensors, RFID/barcode tracking, and real-time data monitoring tools.
6. Familiarity with route optimization software (e.g., OptimoRoute, Onfleet, Routific).
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to drive measurable process improvements.
8. Strong analytical, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Education & Work Experience:
1. Bachelor's Degree.
2. 5+ years in process engineering, supply chain, or logistics, especially in perishable goods.
