Job Opportunity: SEND Teacher – Secondary SEMH School (Basingstoke)
A small and supportive secondary school in Basingstoke is seeking a skilled SEND Teacher to join their team in January 2025. The school caters to pupils with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) related to SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs and associated behaviours, offering a focused and nurturing environment.
Position Details:
Role: SEND Teacher
Location: Basingstoke
Contract Type: Temporary through Teaching Personnel, with the potential to transition to a permanent school contract if mutually agreed
Start Date: January 2025
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
Proven experience teaching GCSE-level subjects
Previous experience working with SEND pupils, particularly those with SEMH needs and associated behaviours
A commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with EHCPs
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal development
Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and the wider school team to ensure the best outcomes for students
Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed
