Care Worker working with vulnerable adults with Learning Difficulties.
Location: Weston Super Mare
The Role
We are looking for people with experience in Learning Disability support. Provide person-centred support towards independence by providing a therapeutic, structured service consistent with individual preferences and abilities through facilitation of engagement in social interactions and community activities.
Our Care Worker will:
* Have proven previous experience in working with people with Learning Disability and Mental health and various complex needs
* Be reliable, friendly and caring to help our residents achieve their everyday goals (including personal care)
* Be creative and responsive in daily support while adhering to person centred care plans and individual’s goals
* Be able to support in-house and outside social activities and hobbies
* Be attentive and inspire our people supported to achieve more
* Be resilient and help manage some behaviours that challenge
* Be a team player and good record keeper
* Ability to carry out house-keeping and food preparation
About You
* Proven experience in the Health and Social Care sector
* A person-centred approach and ability to work as a part of a team
* Ability to plan for yourself and others
* Manage time effectively, prioritising workloads
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal in English
* IT literate and confident to use IT for record keeping
