The Role
As a Technical Leader & Systems Integrator Digital Engineering Evaluation Capability Principal, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will be providing Technical Leadership and IT Systems Integration expertise to enable the project to meet its business objectives working in a partnership with the Deputy Chief Engineer Digital, Project and Programme Management.
Day-to-day, you will:
* Work in conjunction with the Chief Digital Engineer, provide day to day leadership and the management of the Project and Programme engineering and technical teams with a focus on the overall IT Systems Solution
* Delegate tasks accordingly to suitable qualified personnel and acting as a Technical Leader delivering high quality technical outputs
* Embed Systems Engineering methodologies in programme technical delivery and ensure consistency of technical processes, methods and tools to meet project requirements
* Make key decisions of the selection and advice on technical solutions especially in respect to IT Systems
* Deal within a complex stakeholder environment ensuring integrated technical solutions meet the customers’ needs and requirements
* Ensure the integrated technical output from the delivery team and compliance with relevant regulations
* Manage customer requirements and system requirements, production and the update of the Technical Delivery Plan and management of associated artefacts throughout the engineering project lifecycle
This role is a full-time position based at our Bristol or Farnborough site with a hybrid working arrangement.
Essential experience of the Technical Leader & Systems Integrator Digital Engineering Evaluation Capability Principal:
* Extensive IT Systems design, development, integration and verification/validation experience
* Proven experience of strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to make decisions
* Experience of Cloud computing concepts and system engineering toolsets
* The ability to be able to efficiently manage people, resources and workflows
* A strong knowledge of engineering governance and the ability to articulate the technical scope of the project to stakeholders
Qualifications for the Technical Leader & Systems Integrator Digital Engineering Evaluation Capability Principal:
* Degree level qualifications or equivalent demonstrable experience.
