Commercial Strategy and Planning Manager
Location: London office (5 days onsite)
Salary - £80,000 - £85,000 base + bonus

This role is essential in shaping the strategic direction of the business to achieve growth and strengthen market presence. The Commercial Strategy and Planning Manager will lead the development and execution of strategic plans, ensuring products are optimally positioned to meet customer needs and maximise revenue opportunities. The role demands innovative thinking, collaboration across teams, and a focus on measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Perform detailed market analysis to pinpoint trends, gaps, and potential challenges.
* Leverage customer insights to inform pricing and packaging strategies for diverse markets.
* Define product and pricing strategies tailored to shopping habits and buying occasions.
* Identify success metrics and oversee performance tracking.
* Build and maintain a structured planning process to ensure alignment with business goals.
* Collaborate with teams across sales, marketing, and finance to drive unified strategies.
* Oversee the execution of commercial projects and initiatives, ensuring seamless implementation.
* Analyse product performance to identify optimal SKUs for each channel.
* Provide actionable insights to sales teams, focusing on strategies for high-performing products, enhanced distribution, and effective promotional placement.
* Create robust promotional strategies that align with business objectives.
* Establish a framework for tracking and evaluating promotional outcomes to inform future initiatives.
Requirements
* Strong commercial understanding, advanced proficiency in Excel, and experience in project management.
* FMCG brand experience is a big plus
* Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to foster collaboration and gain buy-in from stakeholders.
* At least 5 years of experience in a commercial, Insights role within the FMCG industry.
