Our adult services programme is looking to recruit a warm-hearted and thoughtful Female Support Worker to join us in the Dorchester and Weymouth area. This is a part time position working 16- 30 hours per week.
You would be required to interact and encourage the people we support living in their own homes with activities such as swimming, walking groups, day trips and holidays. You would also be supporting with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning and medication routines.
You would be required to work shifts such as 07:00 -16:00, 14:00- 22:00, You would work alternate weekends and do sleep ins (sleep ins receive an additional payment).
A support workers day would include:
* Sharing your skills and life knowledge with the people we support to enable good life skills and independence when living in the community
* Maintaining consistent and accurate records regarding care plans, finances, appointments and medication
* Following the support plan in plan for each person we support to enable the person to feel comfortable and happy, adapting this as required based on change in behaviour
* Providing some elements of personal care from personal hygiene prompts, helping to bath and wash, medication
We deliver a 24/7 service and have various full and part time hours available to suit your needs. To support Jake’s package the hours would ideally be within 8am - 4pm or 4pm - 10pm with one sleep in a week between Monday – Sunday.
