Job Title: Area Registered Manager - Staffordshire Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week Salary Band: £50k - £52k (With a £3,000 Car Allowance) Location: Field based – main office base Reporting to: Head of Complex Services. Responsible for: Cluster Team Manager & Operational Administrator. Deliver the outcomes identified in the Quality Governance Strategy and Support Plans as appropriate Responding to the local need, filling voids within the service in a timely manner whilst supporting individual preferences, wishes and desires Supporting colleagues in monitoring and managing KPI data e.g. employee retention, sickness absence levels and void fill Encouraging an open culture in the team, listening to, and acting on opportunities and issues raised by the team where appropriate. Manage compliance with the company quality & assurance and improvement process and preferred practices, such as quality audits and reviews. Assure compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements. Promoting and delivering person centred support, including positive risk assessment and management and positive behavioural support Ensure maintenance of a factual and accurate record of care delivery Recruitment and retention of the staffing establishment required to deliver an effective service in accordance with company policy, inclusive recruitment methods and legislative requirements. Plan and implement effective rotas and ensure all employees are paid correctly. Provide a first-class induction and employee experience to all team members, bringing the values and behaviours of Aspirations Care to life at every opportunity Ideal Candidate Requirements NVQ Level 5 in Management or equivalent professional / academic qualification or willing to work towards Proven experience at a manager/supervisory level within Learning disabilities and/or mental health sector Experience of working as part of a Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT) Experience of recruiting (safer recruitment), inducting and training staff teams Experience of conducting disciplinary investigations and writing investigation reports Experience of working with individuals that have complex needs and demonstrate challenging behaviour Excellent written and verbal communication skills Concise, informative and accurate report writing skills Knowledge of CQC requirements/best practice Ability to support people in the community with an appropriate degree of risk management, within a legal framework (ie MCA/MHA) Numerical competence (rotas, financial matters) Ability to supervise others Flexible & committed and able to participate in on call duties Honest, trustworthy, tolerant, patient Committed to anti-oppressive practice Other Requirements Full clean driving licence DBS Check Suitable References on appointment Ensuring that the business remains financially viable A key responsibility of an Area Registered Manger is ensuring the service provided is financially viable Staff levels are in line with supported commissioned hours Expenditure is monitored and maintained Authorisation is requested prior to agreed limits Agency is limited and only used as a last resort.
