Role: Property Stores Assistant REF 364219 Contract Length: Until March 2025 Location: Cwmbran IR35: Inside Pay Rate to Intermediary: £15.38 per hour Spinwell is recruiting for a Property Stores Assistant for an excellent opportunity within the public sector. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PROPERTY STORES ASSISTANT To work under the supervision of the EPU Lead, to audit all Central Stores in line with the decommission of the current property system. To correctly identify items for Central Disposal and return to owner exhibits while auditing and collate and store return to owner items correctly. Unaccounted for items are to be highlighted to the EPU Lead SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE PROPERTY STORES ASSISTANT Minimum of five grade A-C GCSE’s or the equivalent minimum standards or possess relevant experience. Must be able to demonstrate previous experience of working in a secure stores environment. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels. An understanding of the seizure, preservation, storage and disposal of Evidential Property is desirable. An understanding of the criminal justice process in relation to the continuity and submission of court exhibits and the defence disclosure process is desirable. Must be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. A good knowledge of stores administration, procedures and practices is desirable. An understanding of CPIA, PoFA and MoPI guidelines is desirable. An understanding of ACPO, Home Office and NPIA guidance relating to the seizure, storage and disposal of property is desirable.
