About the Client:
Our client, a nationally recognised organisation in the Financial Services and Logistics sector, is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join a critical remediation programme. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-impact outcomes within a complex and fast-moving environment.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a confident and delivery-focused Project Manager to take ownership of key deliverables, drive progress, and manage stakeholders effectively. You will play a crucial role in developing governance structures, managing project risks, and supporting operational efficiencies within the remediation programme.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with the Senior Project Manager to deliver key project milestones on time and to a high standard.
Create and maintain core processes, procedures, guidance, and project tools to support programme's delivery.
Lead RAID management and reporting activities, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated appropriately.
Support the Programme Lead in identifying automation and operational efficiency opportunities.
Manage project governance activities, including running working group meetings and tracking action resolution.
Drive the Project Working Group meetings, managing actions, decisions, and issue resolution.
Deputise for the Project Lead when required, ensuring continued momentum and decision-making in their absence and providing strong leadership and direction to the wider team.
Maintain a proactive approach to issue resolution and benefits realization.
Engage effectively with a wide range of business, compliance, risk, and technology stakeholders.
Skills and Experience Required:
Strong experience delivering remediation or redress projects (industry background flexible: banking, insurance, utilities, public sector, etc.).
Excellent core project management skills: stakeholder management, risk management, budget management, governance, reporting, and planning.
Ability to command attention, drive progress, and influence senior stakeholders.
Expertise in RAID management and mitigation planning.
Comfortable managing ambiguity and driving outcomes in a regulatory or compliance-driven environment.
Experience in working cross-functionally with business, compliance, risk, and IT teams is highly desirable.
Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2, Agile PM, or Change Management would be advantageous.
