Job description AMADA PUNCH PRESS SETTER/OPERATOR Company Overview: Our client is a leading manufacturer of bespoke commercial catering and ventilation equipment. All our projects include bespoke in house manufactured equipment using predominantly stainless steel sheet material. As an equal opportunities employer we are currently looking to recruit an experienced Punch press Setter/ operator to complement our existing team. Role Overview: Based in Banbury, Oxfordshire, this role reports directly to the Operations Director. Your main task will be the operation & maintenance of an Amada AE2510 Punch press and linked Sheet Cat load/unload system. This role involves working closely with the design office in order to deliver the most efficient output and quality of components. This role will require an applicant with problem solving skills and the ability to liaise comfortably with all elements of the manufacturing process. The focus for this candidate will be ensuring that their quality standards and the “right first time” mentality are maintained at all times. Within this role, you will be required to work on multiple projects at any one time. This will require someone whose attention to detail and ability to multi task are unquestionable. The following applies to all applicants: Main duties will include: · The loading of programs & tooling in the correct order for the project being processed. · In, & post process inspection and tolerance checking of both standard and bespoke components. · Assist with “knocking out” & de-burring of punched components. · Operation & maintenance of the tool grinding/sharpening machine. · The routine maintenance of the punch machine. · The loading/unloading of sheet metal using a counterbalance forklift truck. · Any other duties as required and within the skills set of this role. Skills & Experience Required: · Must possess previous experience of working in a similar position. · Knowledge of driving/using a counterbalance forklift truck. · Experience of working within the fabrication industry would be a clear advantage. · Have the knowledge and understanding of the Amada Punch press range or similar. · The ability to read and understand manufacture drawings. · Be able to work to strict deadlines. · Possess good communication and numeracy skills. · Can work equally well in either a team or lone working environment. · Must be quality driven with attention to detail being paramount in everything achieved. · Must have own transport. · Must have CSCS Card.
