We have an exciting opportunity in the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre for someone with a passion for engineering who is looking to use their skills in software or programming to make an impact on UK productivity.
Working within our Digital Factory Hub, you will assist the AMRC Cymru Team in Baglan, South Wales. You will support the delivery of research and be the technical support for a digital manufacturing hub facility.
Digital Manufacturing is one of the key themes within Digital Factory Hub in our facility in Baglan and the role will look at “the 4th Industrial revolution” and the development and implementation of Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) integrating with Digitally Assisted Assembly and Big Data technologies within manufacturing.
You will be studying towards a software or programming orientated degree, competent in a number of programming languages and keen to continue your development in an applied setting.
We are looking for a diverse skill-set, including good organisational skills, and the ability to research, problem solve, design, and implement ideas in a hands-on environment. In this role, you will be required to have a practical approach, a positive attitude, and be a confident communicator.
