Your cost benefit analysis and economic evaluation will support the delivery of key strategic net zero infrastructure in the north of Scotland.

You will
- Conduct thorough economic assessments of future infrastructure projects, including cost-benefit analyses and socioeconomic impact, to inform project feasibility and investment decisions.
- Maintain SSENTs innovation framework and investment decision-making methodology, ensuring they align with evolving strategic investment priorities, namely Area System Planning.
- Deliver economic analysis and supporting documentation to aid regulatory approval for large network infrastructure and innovation investments.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, environmental and sustainability analysts, and policy experts to proactively pursue data collection, analysis and process improvements.
- Produce high-quality reports and presentations that effectively communicate complex economic concepts and findings to diverse stakeholders, both internal and external.
A degree in Economics, Finance, Energy Economics, or relevant experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in economic analysis and a proven track record in conducting economic assessments for large infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of the UK electricity networks energy sector, including policies and regulation combined with a passion for sustainability and renewable energy, coupled with a commitment to contributing to a more sustainable future.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex economic concepts in a clear and concise manner and a collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience managing/mentoring others (desirable, but not essential).

Salary: £40,600 - £61,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
