Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Office Manager to oversee the administration of our Southampton Asbestos branch. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various clients. This role involves supervising a team, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and managing administrative tasks related to asbestos management. This is a temporary contract to cover maternity leave. We would like you to start as soon as possible.
Duties
* To deal with the daily management of administrative staff, staff welfare and to act as line manager to administrative staff within the Branch.
* Arranging travel, meetings and appointments as required by Branch Staff.
* Ordering stationery and equipment.
* Supervising and monitoring the work of Branch Admin staff.
* Reporting to Branch management on a regular basis, highlighting areas for improvement.
* Arranging training for Administration staff, and new employee’s, including Induction.
* Securing security passes for Shield employees from the MOD.
* Arranging Waste skips for contracted works and recording all waste movements.
* Raising invoices and orders as and when required.
* Assisting Branch Manager & Contracts Manager as and when required.
Qualifications and experience:
* Experience in a previous managerial role.
* WAMITAB qualification admirable to assist with the waste transfer station.
* Display good communication as well as people management skills.
* Be able to use and understand the Microsoft System.
* Business Admin NVQ preferable.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
