This exciting and interesting administrative job puts you at the heart of the VMDs work in being the regulatory and policy lead for issues concerning the authorisation, use, and manufacture of veterinary medicines in the UK. You will be part of a large operational delivery team that progresses applications received in respect of veterinary medicines and their associated life-cycle. You will work closely with administrative and scientific colleagues as well as external stakeholders, including the pharmaceutical industry and regulators from other countries. These are busy, complex roles operating in an ever-changing policy environment. You will mostly work within clearly defined rules, regulations and policies, and the output will be guided by practice and precedent. However, due to legislative review, policies continue to evolve, and new precedents emerge, so you must be adaptable to change. Experience The emphasis for this role is on strong organisation and problem-solving skills with demonstratable experience of working to tight deadlines in a complex and varied working environment. You must be a quick learner with the ability to get up to speed rapidly with the nature of the work, including learning in-house IT systems. We are looking for you to have experience of/in: Working under pressure within a target driven environment. Working in accordance with guidelines, policies and procedures, but also adapting to situations when these dont apply. Developing strong relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
