Your Role as a Secondary SEN Class Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons to students with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, and mild-to-moderate learning difficulties. Differentiate the mainstream curriculum to ensure accessibility and progress for all learners. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and wider team. Create a nurturing and structured classroom environment, promoting confidence and independence. Use adaptive teaching methods, including multi-sensory approaches, to meet diverse learning needs. Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to provide holistic support for students. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to ensure continued development. Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ✅ Experience working with students with SEND in a secondary school or specialist setting. ✅ A patient, compassionate, and adaptable teaching approach. ✅ Strong knowledge of differentiation strategies and SEN teaching techniques. ✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills. ✅ An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
